Alexa Bigwarfe is an author, speaker, publisher, and author coach. She enjoys connecting authors and women in the publishing industry to the resources they need to progress in their journeys. She has worked with and supported thousands of authors through her conferences, training programs, webinars, podcasts, and publishing support services. The Women in Publishing Summit launched in 2017 when Alexa noticed a need for representation of women and diversity in the online publishing conference world. It is her goal to create an environment that not only provides top-of-the-line training, but builds community for connections to find the people and resources and tools you need in your publishing journey, AND create a space to recognize the accomplishments of women in the publishing industry. Thank you. Thank you for interviewing all these women, compiling all these resources and best of all, giving it away simply for the sake of helping other women — in your own words — ditch the fear and just write. I’m not sure how many other 18 yr old girls are watching the videos in this summit, but I have to say they have provided the most detailed and helpful advice I have seen so far. (Though to be honest, I doubt I’ll be able to make the most of it until I’m older. Perks of not being 21 in Malaysia, you see). I’ll be sure to attend next year’s WIP summit and (hopefully) the dozen more summits after that. Again, thank you and have a good day.
