This was an amazing situation… We’re actually facing the same situation in Brazil, after our elections, we were all under this cloud of “I don’t know my mother, I don’t know my neighbor, etc.” And we have also been organizing, in the literary and artistic community, in order to learn how to listen to each other again, and having the guts to own our stories… Thank you so very much for sharing!
“Allow yourself to be uncomfortable.” Thank you for underscoring this idea. It will definitely help me in my entrepreneurial efforts and completing my first book. This I can put into effect…starting tomorrow! Thank you!
Desiree, thank you for sharing. What you said about presence, authenticity, and boldness is spot-on, but it takes courage, and we need your vision and unique talent for helping women authors. I also appreciated your point about considering disability issues, and alludes to how our presences requires us to be aware of so many more issues of intersectionality than we might instinctually do. Thank you!
