Things That Matter: Storytelling for Meaningful Book Marketing & Community Building

A transformative workshop for authors, storytellers, and anyone seeking deeper connection through authentic marketing.

Are you tired of book marketing that feels forced or impersonal?

What if you could build your audience by simply being yourself—by sharing the stories that truly matter?

In this hands-on, heart-opening workshop led by visual storyteller and podcast host Martie McNabb, you’ll explore the meaningful objects in your life—the items that carry memory, emotion, and identity—and uncover the stories they hold.

These stories aren’t just personal—they’re powerful tools for connection.

When you share the things that matter, your audience sees who you are, not just what you’ve written. And when you invite others to share their own stories in return? You create real community.

✨ In This Workshop, You’ll Learn How To:

  • Connect deeply with your own “personal museum” of objects and the memories they hold

  • Build community by generously listening to and sharing stories with others

  • Rethink your legacy—what you leave behind through your stories and your work

  • Use storytelling as a tool to create engagement at your book events and readings

  • Market your book in a meaningful way that fosters relationships, not just transactions

📚 Who This Is For:

Authors, storytellers, creatives, coaches, and anyone who wants to move beyond traditional marketing and connect with their audience through shared experiences and real human stories.

💬 Why It Works:

Because stories build relationships—and relationships build communities.
This is marketing that doesn’t feel like marketing.

Don’t miss your chance to learn a powerful, story-based approach that not only helps you promote your book, but also leaves a lasting impression.
